The Supreme Court has upheld the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act as constitutional. Chief Justice John Roberts, in a highly controversial move, and a 180-degree turn from the arguments in Congress that the bill was “not a tax,” saved the individual mandate by ruling it as a tax.
